Notes:
– Fineness: ≤ 10 μm.- Viscosity: Measured with an ASTM No. 3 Zahn cup- Water Resistance: Soak the printed sample in water for 24 hours at room temperature- Acid Strength: Soak the printed sample in a solution of 3% HCl acid or 7% Acetic acid for 30 minutes at room temperature- Alkali Resistance: Soak the printed sample in a 2% NaOH solution for 30 minutes at room temperature
– Fading level: A: Non-fadingB: Slightly fadingC: Fadd: Completely fading- Luminosity: Using Xenon Test chamber Xe-1 according to ASTM D3424. Luminosity is measured and determined according to the Blue Wool Scale• Luminosity grade: level 1 (least durable) à level 8 (most durable)
• When adding 50% Medium or White ink to the ink, the luminosity is reduced by 01 level• When blending add 90% Medium or White ink to the ink, the luminosity will be reduced by 02 levelsIf there are requirements for high luminosity or other special technical requirements, please contact us and choose our special inks
7. Solvent dilution:
Dilution Solvent Ratio (% by weight):
Isopropanol (IPA) / n-Butanol / Toluene = 60 / 25 / 15
Note:
– Mixed solvents need to be mixed with ingredients before diluting the ink – Using a lot of Toluene will swell the print, especially the polymer print. Therefore, it is necessary to check the stiffness of the print before using a dilution formula that is high in Toluene- To speed up the evaporation, the dilution formula can add 5-10% Ethyl Acetate
8. Instructions for use:
– Stir thoroughly before use- The fineness of old ink should be checked before use as long-term storage can cause ink agglomerate. Only use 10-30% of used ink and must be carefully filtered with a 100μm filter or a 120 mesh metal sieve- Using an ink supply system with a filter sieve system, a circulating pump can prevent the ink from filming, impurities and stabilize the color tone- For print samples with a small print area, Low ink consumption, moisture easily penetrates the ink due to prolonged exposure to air, resulting in thickening and suspension of ink. To avoid this situation, it is recommended to use a solvent that slows down evaporation and control the ambient humidity at 55 ÷ 65%
– Use Medium: When printing, ink is often added to reduce the color force depending on the depth of the printing shaft. Usually Medium is added about 10-15% of raw squid. In the case of printing special colors, the medium content used at a higher rate we recommend you as follows:
- The amount of Medium mixed ≤ 10 -15%: use Medium without additives.
- The amount of Medium > 15%: use Medium with additive phase.
To ensure good adhesion resistance, it is necessary to control the evaporation rate well with a suitable diluted solvent formula, the medium ratio used in the printing ink is at a certain limit.
– Environmental Humidity Control:
When the printing environment has high humidity (especially in the rainy season), water in the air will condense into the ink, making the ink on the material slow to dry, and the water-contaminated ink will not dissolve in the diluted solvent. To avoid this from happening, humidity needs to be strictly controlled between 55 ÷ 65%. The printing factory needs to be equipped with a hygrometer to measure the humidity of the printing environment, if the humidity is higher than the permissible value, it is not safe for prolonged printing conditions, as soon as you start printing, it is recommended that you immediately use moisture-proof additives with a content of 2-5% for raw ink.
9. Safety and Storage Information:
– The ink contains flammable liquids. Therefore, it is necessary to keep the printing area always ventilated or install an exhaust exhaust system to ensure safety. Especially avoid contact with fire sources or spark sources.- Store and use the product at 15-25°C.- Avoid contact with skin and eyes.- Shelf life: 06 months from the date of manufacture
The above specifications are given based on the results of experiments and actual production at Khang Viet factory. However, the characteristics of the product may be affected by the use environment as well as the quality of the printing materials. In fact, the product is used under conditions beyond the control of the manufacturer, so we cannot guarantee the optimal quality of the product. Therefore, in order to minimize the risk to our customers, we suggest that the product should be subjected to a small test for compatibility and quality before being put into mass production. All parameters in this table are for reference only and may be changed to meet the conditions and achieve the best efficiency when operating the equipment.
